Social Media

The Florence County Emergency Management Department (FCEMD) and Emergency Communications Center (ECC) aim to engage the community through various digital channels, including our website and social media platforms. Social media provides a direct and meaningful way for the public to interact with FCEMD/ECC, enabling the agency to share critical information in real time and receive useful feedback from the community.

Our goal is to use social media as a helpful medium for distributing official information and fostering constructive conversations. Most of our social media pages allow for user comments, and we encourage all users to engage respectfully and collaboratively with each other when commenting on FCEMD/ECC posts.

Please be aware that by engaging with FCEMD/ECC through social media, you are agreeing to the following guidelines:

This policy may be updated or amended as necessary. Users are encouraged to submit or post content, including photographs and videos, to official FCEMD/ECC social media sites where we allow user submissions. However, such content must meet the standards outlined in this policy and be relevant to the subject matter of the social media page. Users should only post original content that they own. Any reproduced or borrowed content that violates third-party rights will be deleted.
